ATLAS MEDIA TO PRODUCE 'ROYAL INQUEST' FOR TLC/INVESTIGATION DISCOVERY

Series to be Introduced to International Buyers at MIP-TV Via Passion Distribution

NEW YORK, MARCH 16, 2009 Atlas Media Corp., one of the country's largest independent producers of high quality non-fiction programming and content, has reached an agreement with TLC and Investigation Discovery to produce the original television program Royal Inquest. The announcement was made today by Kaki Kirby, EVP of business development and special projects.

Royal scandals come at us so fast and furiously it's almost impossible to distinguish fact from fiction. But, Royal Inquest (8x1-hour) does just that. These one-hour episodes go behind the scenes of the world's most intriguing royal scandals. Whether it's a shocking attack on a princess, betrayal at the hands of a beloved servant, elaborate cover-ups of royally bad behavior or the horrible murder of an entire royal family -- Royal Inquest digs deep to find out the truth behind the headline.

Along the way, viewers get an up-close-and-personal look at these fascinating public figures. In addition to the mysteries, we investigate the royals' loves, hates, and passions...their heroic triumphs and their bitter defeats. Through the prism of mystery, we tell tantalizing tales of elaborate coronations and spectacular parties...of arranged marriages and fairy-tales romances...of noble deeds and international controversies.

Taking a page from the book of story-centric mystery-investigative programs, Royal Inquest, puts the emphasis on teasing out purported royal stories moment-by-moment. Filled with twists and turns red-herrings and dead-ends, each story-driven episode will be sure to keep viewers glued to the screen until the very end.

Atlas Media has brought on Passion Distribution to handle the series introduction to the international marketplace during MIP-TV in Cannes. Passion Distribution will handle all territories excluding North and South America and the Caribbean. Headed by Sally Miles, the international television distribution veteran, the company debuted at MIPCOM 2008.

The series will premiere on TLC Sunday, March 29th at 10PM. Royal Inquest will then have an encore presentation on Investigation Discovery starting in May.
