SERIES IN DEVELOPMENT:

ARCHITECTURE SCHOOL Season 2

The second six-part documentary series "Architecture School" will follow the students of a prestigious architecture school as they work on a major project. "Architecture School" opens a window onto the art and science of architecture while telling a unique and uplifting human interest story. The premiere series aired in August 2008 and followed a group of students at Tulane University's School of Architecture as they submitted competing designs for an affordable home in Katrina-battered New Orleans. Producers are Michael Selditch and Stan Bertheaud.

DON'T BOMB KUALA LUMPUR

Produced by Emmy Award winner Mark Burnett (Survivor, The Apprentice), each episode of this anthropological comedy series features a pair of up-and-coming stand-up comedians who descend upon a brand-new city, guided by a celebrity comedy mentor. The novice comedians will have to quickly become familiar with their cultural surroundings so that they can perform stand-up for the local audience, who will ultimately decide which of the two acts provided the biggest laughs.

RED SUMMER

Based on the book of the same name by award-winning filmmaker and acclaimed writer, Bill Carter, this six-part series takes a compelling behind-the scenes look at an isolated Eskimo village in Alaska, and its population explosion during the commercial salmon season. Cameras will follow six fishermen who endure rough waters, grizzly bears, vicious mosquitoes, and the antics of their fellow fishermen as a backdrop to the high-stakes drama of the rapidly depleting salmon population and the community's response to this major environmental issue. Series is produced and directed by Bill Carter, and executive produced by Academy Award nominee Nanette Burstein and Jordan Roberts.

TOP CITY ARTIST WITH JUSTIN BUA (working title, aka PORTRAIT OF AN ARTIST WITH JUSTIN BUA)

This series follows the dynamic life of urban artist Justin BUA, showcasing the struggle of BUA to achieve gallery and museum notoriety. Despite selling more posters than any living artist, having his work featured in video games, music videos, on skateboards and shoes, cultivating an amazing fan base, including a who's who list of private collectors, such as Eva Longoria, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Jay-Z, and President Clinton, and being a professor of art at USC, BUA remains shunned by the high-end gallery and museum world. But why? Is it his urban themes, is it elitism, or is it that he is simply not good enough at this stage of his career? As the "people's artist" strives for the upper echelons of the art world and respect and recognition that is long overdue, BUA will provide candid access to his family, friends, the hustle, and the colorful cast of characters and urban culture that is celebrated in his artistic expressions, with the goal of breaking down the art establishment walls and changing the perceptions of the art world elite. Series produced by Michael Yudin, MY Entertainment.

PREVIOUSLY ANNOUNCED, ALSO IN DEVELOPMENT:

GOOD DESIGN

Most people know good design when they see it a sub-Zero refrigerator, or bar stools that are just the right height and the same goes for bad design PDA buttons which are too small, car doors with hidden lock buttons. In this sophisticated and highly creative series celebrated designer Karim Rashid will expose the vast array of design decisions that go into how we live our lives from everyday objects to public spaces, from furniture to vehicles and how these designs can make life better or worse. Along the way we learn all about what makes for great design and get a peek at some of the best and worst design decisions in history. Produced by True Entertainment.

EXTREME TO MAINSTREAM

What is the motivation and inspiration that compels artists filmmakers, musicians, designers, architects and comedians to challenge convention in the name of art? Shot in an intimate style, each episode will introduce a former extreme artist who has gone mainstream. Controversial, outspoken and daring, they had no idea they would become an icon from a generation. In addition to exploring their own work they will reveal a young artist they're discovered who has a talent and sense of "extreme" to which they can relate. This "mainstream" mentor and "extreme" artist will collaborate on a project. Produced by Beth B. Productions and City Lights.
