Tony(R) Award Winner and Emmy(R) Nominee Kristin Chenoweth to Heat Up the Holidays in Lifetime Television's Twelve Men of Christmas

Romantic Comedy to be Centerpiece of Network's Annual 'Fa La La La Lifetime' Programming Event

LOS ANGELES, May 27 -- Tony Award winner and Emmy nominee Kristin Chenoweth (Pushing Daisies) melts the holiday snow in Twelve Men of Christmas, an all-new Lifetime Original Movie set to premiere as part of the Network's annual "Fa La La La Lifetime" programming event in December 2009. Based on the popular novel Decent Exposure by Phillipa Ashley, the romantic comedy tells the story of a down-on-her-luck public relations executive who uses her media savvy to generate some sizzle in a small Montana town. The casting announcement was made today by Tanya Lopez, Senior Vice President of Original Movies, Lifetime Networks.

"Kristin Chenoweth is a force of nature with a unique charm, wit and warmth that make her the perfect casting choice for Twelve Men of Christmas," said Lopez.

It's anything but a Merry Christmas for die-hard New Yorker E.J. Baxter (Chenoweth) when she loses her high-powered publicity job and her fiance all on the same night as her office holiday party. To escape everything around her, E.J. takes a job in Kalispell, Montana, and channels her energy to help raise funds for the local search-and-rescue team. She cooks up a concept that will leverage Kalispell's greatest asset - their handsome guys - by having them step out of their uniforms and onto the pages of a calendar that is certain to raise both temperatures and pulses. Though she faces resistance from some of the men, E.J. eventually wins them over...especially a certain Mr. December!

Television, film and stage actress Kristin Chenoweth earned an Emmy nomination for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for her work as "Olive Snook" on ABC's Pushing Daisies. Her other television credits include roles on The West Wing, Ugly Betty, the self-titled sitcom Kristin and the television films The Music Man and Annie. On the big screen, she has had notable roles in Four Christmases, Deck the Halls, RV, Bewitched, Running with Scissors, The Pink Panther, Stranger Than Fiction and the upcoming independent feature Into Temptation. Chenoweth voiced the fairy "Rosetta" in Walt Disney Picture's Tinkerbell and starred opposite Cheryl Hines and Jeff Daniels in the animated film Space Chimps. She originated the role of "Glinda the Good Witch" in Broadway's Wicked, which earned her a Tony Award nomination. Prior, she won a Tony Award for her work in You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown and won a Theatre World Award for Steel Pier. An accomplished singer, Chenoweth's Christmas album, A Lovely Way to Spend Christmas, was released last October.

Twelve Men of Christmas is produced by Fox Television Studios for Lifetime Television. Jon Maas (True Confessions of a Hollywood Starlet), who also wrote the script, serves as Executive Producer alongside Lisa Demberg (The Dive from Clausen's Pier). Arlene Sanford (My Boys) directs from a script based on the book Decent Exposure by Phillipa Ashley.
