BIO CHANNEL CELEBRATES THE LIFE AND LEGACY OF FARRAH FAWCETT IN BIO REMEMBERS: FARRAH FAWCETT
MONDAY, JUNE 29th AT 10PM ET /9PM CT / 11PM PT
When American actress and international icon Farrah Fawcett tragically passed away on Thursday morning at the age of 62, the world lost more than the iconic poster girl and the original Charlie's Angel. Fawcett went from a tomboy in Texas who carried a big dream to a multiple Golden Globe and Emmy Award nominee with a hairstyle that defined the '70s. On Monday, June 29th BIO Channel commemorates her life on "BIO Remembers: Farrah Fawcett" at 10PM ET/9PM CT/11PM PT.
Through archival footage and interviews with family members, friends, leading journalists and colleagues, BIO Remembers Farrah's rural upbringing in Corpus Christi, being voted one of the "Ten Most Beautiful Coeds" by Cashbox magazine her freshman year of college and her breakout roll as private detective Jill Munro in "Charlie's Angels," a series that defined a generation of television shows and had an unprecedented impression on pop culture. We'll follow her life spent under the public eye, from her marriage and subsequent divorce to "Big Valley" star Lee Majors and a long time love affair with the father of her only son, Ryan O'Neil, to the critically acclaimed roles she garnered throughout her career such as in the off-Broadway play Extremities and made-for-TV movie The Burning Bed, as well as her parts as Beate Klarsfield in Nazi Hunter: The Beate Klarsfield Story, troubled Woolworth heiress Barbara Hutton in Poor Little Rich Girl: The Barbara Hutton Story, and her return to modeling when she decided to pose nude for Playboy at the verge of 50 years of age.
