24 (FOX) - T.J. Ramini ("Desperate Housewives") has landed a recurring role on the show's upcoming eighth season. He'll play Tarin Karoush, "an associate of the Middle Eastern leader played by new series regular Anil Kapoor." No other specifics were released.
90210 (The CW) - Entertainment Weekly reports that Trevor Donovan has scored a multi-episode arc on the second season of the netlet's soap. It's understood he'll play Teddy, "West Beverlys own version of JFK Jr." It's not clear when his first episode will air.
BROTHERHOOD (Showtime) - TVShowsonDVD.com reports Paramount Home Entertainment is soliciting the show's upcoming third season DVD release as "The Final Season." Said outcome for the series had been widely expected, as co-star Jason Clarke toplined the CBS pilot "U.S. Attorney" earlier this year.
COPPER (ABC) - "Reaper" alum Missy Peregrym is the first to be cast in the upcoming drama, about Andy McNally (Peregrym), "a newly minted cop fresh from the academy and the daughter of a homicide detective." Production on the series, from Canadian producer E1 Entertainment, is set to begin shortly in Toronto. Additional casting is set to be announced in the coming weeks.
DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES (ABC) - Drea de Matteo ("The Sopranos") is set to join the cast of the veteran dramedy, Entertainment Weekly reports. She'll play the "newest vixenish housewife... the matriarch of a new Italian family." Producers are also casting for her landscape designer husband and their tightly wound son.
IMPORTANT THINGS (Comedy Central) - Charlie Siskel ("Crossballs: The Debate Show") has been tapped as the showrunner for the upcoming second season of the series. He'll take over for Beth McCarthy-Miller, who won't be making the transition from New York to Los Angeles. Demetri Martin and Jon Stewart also serve as executive producers on the series. Separately, Siskel has also been tapped as an executive producer on Showtime's new series from British comedian Marc Wootton. Said six-episode project, which is being likened to the style of fellow import Sacha Baron Cohen, is due sometime next year.
LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT (NBC) - Mariska Hargitay and Christopher Meloni have both signed on to return for the show's landmark 11th season. The pair had been the focus of protracted contract negotiations with Universal Media Studios for a while, eventually settling on per episode salaries north of $400,000 each, which could include a piece of the show's back end. It's believe the duo currently receive about $375,000-385,000 an episode. Both pacts are for one year with the option for a second. Meanwhile in related "SVU" news, Christine Lahti is set to appear in at least four episodes of the new season. She'll play the show's latest assistant district attorney for the season's inaugural installments with Stephanie March returning thereafter for at least 10 episodes.
ONE TREE HILL (The CW) - Jana Kramer ("90210") has booked a multi-episode arc while Danneel Harris is set to return to the veteran soap. The former will play model/actress Alexis, "the new face of Brooke's (Sophia Bush) clothing line [who] is an adrenaline junkie and a diva who loves parties and is used to getting her way." Harris then is set to reprise her role as Rachel Gatina, Brooke's high school nemesis, in at least seven episodes next season." Additional details weren't given.
