PERSONS UNKNOWN (NBC, New!) - The Peacock has acquired the third output from Fox Television Studios' international arm, a drama about strangers who are mysteriously kidnapped and imprisoned inside a small ghost town they can't escape. Jason Wiles, Daisy Betts and Alan Ruck star in the ensemble hour, which was filmed in Mexico as part of a co-production with Italy's RAI and the country's own Televisa. Creator Christopher McQuarrie, his wife Heather McQuarrie and showrunner Remi Aubuchon are behind the project, which has already wrapped its 13-episode order. The deal comes on the heels of the company's similar pacts with FOX for "Mental" and ABC for the upcoming "Defying Gravity." FOX originally developed the series, which was later set up at Sci Fi before ultimately being taken abroad by the studio.
