CHUCK (NBC) - Former "Smallville" star Kristin Kreuk has landed a recurring role on the show's third season, Entertainment Weekly reports. Said casting comes on the heels of Brandon Routh likewise booking a multi-episode arc on the series as a love interest for Yvonne Strahovski's character.

FAMILY GUY (FOX) - Steve Callaghan and Mark Hentemann has inked separate three-year, seven-figure overall deals with producer 20th Century Fox Television. The pact calls for the duo to serve as showrunners on the veteran comedy with Callaghan running the writers' room and Hentemann spearheading production. They'll take over for David Goodman and Chris Sheridan, who are stepping down from day-to-day operations on the series. Goodman and Sheridan nevertheless will continue as executive producers, as will Seth MacFarlane and Danny Smith. Callaghan and Hentemann will also develop new series projects for the studio. The latter is already developing "Border Town," about a family living on the U.S.-Mexico border, for the network and studio. Hentemann has already penned two scripts for the animated half-hour as well as completed a pilot presentation.

GAME OF THRONES (HBO) - Lena Headey ("Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles") has booked the final principal role on the drama pilot, "an adaptation of the George R.R. Martin fantasy book series that chronicles a battle among seven kingdoms and two ruling families for control of the Iron Throne." She'll play Queen Cersei of House Lannister, "wife of King Robert (Mark Addy) and sister of twin brother Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) and outsider younger brother Tyrion (Peter Dinkladge)." Production is set to begin next month.

GREY'S ANATOMY (ABC) - Entertainment Weekly reports Katherine Heigl is taking a five-episode hiatus from the upcoming season to shoot Greg Berlanti's feature "Life as We Know It." It's not clear how her character's absence will be explained. The news marks the first time the Alphabet and producers have allowed the actress to miss production time to accommodate her feature film schedule.

INSIDE THE BOX/MARRIED NOT DEAD (ABC) - Leah Remini and Martin Henderson - who toplined the Alphabet's pilots "Married Not Dead" and "Inside the Box," respectively - have each inked talent holding deals with the network. The respective pacts, valued in the six-figure range, call for the network to develop new series projects for each actor. No other specifics were given.
