Exclusive: FOX to Bench Friday Sweeps Lineup for Repeats

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- Less than a week after announcing its November sweeps schedule (read the story), FOX is already making some changes.

Network sources have confirmed Friday entries "Brothers," "'Til Death" and "Dollhouse" will all go on hiatus after their October 23 airings. A rebroadcast of "House's" two-hour season premiere will sub in for the night on October 30 with additional repeats of "House" and "Bones" taking over for the rest of the month.

"Dollhouse" will then return with back-to-back originals starting at 8:00/7:00c on December 4, 11 and 18.

As for the comedies, "Brothers" will permanently shift to Sundays at 7:00/6:00c starting November 8 with back-to-back originals also set for December 13 and 27. No return date for "'Til Death" however was given.

[UPDATED!] Following its double runs in December, we've also confirmed that "Dollhouse" will return to its regular Friday, 9:00/8:00c time slot in January preceded by programming to be announced. Note that FOX will air its coverage of the 76th Sugar Bowl on Friday, January 1.

And finally, assuming its schedule remains as is, "Brothers" will have aired all 13 of its episodes by the end of the year.
