Filming begins on the third and final season of Breathless

Netflix has today announced the start of filming for the third and final season of Breathless.

The series, which consists of 8 episodes, stars Najwa Nimri (The Red Virgin, Money Heist), Aitana Sánchez-Gijón (Amarga Navidad, Parallel Mothers), Blanca Suárez (The Footprint of Evil, Cable Girls), Manu Ríos (Elite, My Dearest Señorita), Borja Luna (Cristo y Rey, No Traces), Xoán Fórneas (Antes de nós) or Pablo Alborán. In this new season, Belén Cuesta, Asia Ortega, Carlos González, Albert Salazar, and Nacho Fresneda join the cast. The ensemble is completed by Alfonso Bassave, Ana Rayo, Macarena de Rueda, Blanca Martínez, Marwa Bakhat, and Claudia Traisac, among others.

In this third season, the arrival of podcast host Judit Casat (Belén Cuesta) as the hospital's new manager will put all the medical staff under pressure, and especially board president Patricia Segura (Najwa Nimri). The rivalry between surgeons Jésica (Blanca Suárez) and Pilar (Aitana Sánchez-Gijón) over the head of department position will open up a difficult-to-close divide. Biel (Manu Ríos) will have to choose between Jésica and Lucía (Claudia Traisac) while starting in a new department that brings all his past traumas back to the surface. Quique (Xoán Fórneas) will discover painful truths about himself after Jon (Pablo Alborán) avoids all contact with him. May (Marwa Bakhat) will see her relationship with Rocío (Macarena Rueda) put at risk - this time because of her own actions. And what about Néstor (Borja Luna) and Patricia? Will the president recover? Will they finally admit what they feel for each other?

Created by Carlos Montero (Elite, The Mess You Leave Behind) and produced by El Desorden Crea, the series features Carlos Montero, Xacobe Sanz, and Carlos Ruano as executive producers. Directed by Carlos Ruano, Polo Menárguez and Marc Vigil, Breathless is written by Carlos Ruano, Guillermo Escribano, Ruth García and Nach Solís.
