NBC Adds, Subtracts "30 Rock," "Law & Order"

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- NBC is doubling up on "30 Rock" on January 14 while "Law & Order" is getting bumped on January 8.

Said news was confirmed by scheduling updates released by the network over the holiday weekend.

As for specifics, "30 Rock" will air back-to-back originals on Thursday, January 14 starting at 9:00/8:00c. James Franco guest stars as himself in the 9:00/8:00c installment while the 9:30/8:30c episode features Jenna (Jane Krakowski) auditioning for a role on "Gossip Girl."

Regular Thursday, 9:00/8:00c time period holder "The Office" returns on January 21.

Meanwhile, "Law & Order" has been bumped from Friday, January 8 in favor of an expanded "Dateline NBC" beginning at 8:00/7:00c. The episode, in which "The Daily Show's" Samantha Bee guest stars as a daytime talk show host, will be rescheduled for a later date. "Law & Order" will now resume new episodes on January 15.
