The POLICE WOMEN OF MARICOPA COUNTY Hit the Ground Running

TLC ANNOUNCES SECOND SEASON OF POPULAR SERIES

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 8 -- TLC's POLICE WOMEN are headed west! Returning for a second season, the popular series moves to Phoenix, Arizona, to showcase the nonstop action in one of America's largest counties -- all seen through the eyes of the POLICE WOMEN OF MARICOPA COUNTY. Premiering Thursday, February 25 at 9 PM ET/PT, this ten-part series follows four female deputies at the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office (MCSO). The show is a gritty, no-holds-barred glimpse into the rough-and-tumble underbelly of one of the nation's most dangerous metropolitan areas. Working shoulder-to-shoulder with the toughest men in law enforcement, the women of MCSO answer to Sheriff Joe Arpaio, a boss whose no-nonsense approach has earned him the nickname "America's Toughest Sheriff." Working for Arpaio is as challenging as it is rewarding.

"POLICE WOMEN OF BROWARD COUNTY introduced our viewers to a handful of amazing women in law enforcement who put their lives on the line to serve and protect their communities," said Nancy Daniels, SVP of production and development for TLC. "We are excited to showcase another group of inspiring women, this time in the setting of Maricopa County. And once again, we will see these deputies rise to the task as we capture the intense drama they face on a daily basis."

Like many women, the POLICE WOMEN OF MARICOPA COUNTY want it all -- and they work hard to get it. Each hour-long episode takes viewers inside the real life drama of women in law enforcement as they pull double duty, balancing family with demanding -- and often perilous -- jobs. From chasing down dangerous drug dealers deep in the desert ... to hauling in deadbeat dads ... to arresting the "coyotes" who traffic in illegal immigrants. These women will stop at nothing to keep the streets safe. But, once they're off the clock, family is their focus.

Meet the POLICE WOMEN OF MARICOPA COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE:

Detective Deborah Moyer is a beloved veteran. She's serious about law enforcement and has dedicated 19 years to the department. Never one to back away from a challenge - whether hunting down deadbeat dads or negotiating with gunmen - Deb is as tough as they come. At home, Deb is happily married to a fellow deputy and is the mother of two sons.

Deputy Lindsey Smith is a single mother who would do anything for her two boys -- but when the badge goes on, she means business. From chasing illegal immigrants in the desert to busting drug dealers, this self-proclaimed adrenaline junkie wouldn't have it any other way. Lindsey loves being a cop as much as she loves being a mom, and does both with passion and intensity.

Deputy Kelly Bocardo knows all about the male-dominated world of law enforcement -- her husband and three brothers also work for the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office. This no-nonsense Latina is feisty and tough, but brings a feminine touch to her interaction with the county's more colorful characters. The only thing she loves more than hunting down criminals is returning home to her two-year-old daughter.

Deputy Amie Duong is a young, single mother of two. She's organized and even-keeled -- qualities that serve her well as she navigates some of the most complicated domestic disputes in Maricopa County. In her effort to serve the public, she often wades into situations that can turn deadly in a hurry--but Amie's cool demeanor and level head helps ensure that she makes it home to her two kids every night.
