ROB LOWE TO GUEST STAR ON 4th SEASON OF SHOWTIME'S CALIFORNICATION

LOS ANGELES, CA - (April 26, 2010) - Famed film and television star Rob Lowe ("Brothers & Sisters") will guest star in the 4th season of the SHOWTIME hit comedy series CALIFORNICATION. Lowe will play charismatic yet self-possessed, award-winning movie star "Eddie Nero," a possible contender to play Hank in the film version of his hit novel as it gets turned into a film on this season of the show. Lowe will appear in at least one episode but could possibly recur.

CALIFORNICATION stars David Duchovny in his Golden Globe-(R) winning role as hedonistic novelist Hank Moody who struggles to raise his teenage daughter (Madeleine Martin), while still carrying a torch for his ex-girlfriend Karen (Natascha McElhone). This season, Hank is enlisted to write the screenplay to his book F**king & Punching, the same manuscript Mia (Madeline Zima) passed off as her own last season, to great critical and commercial acclaim. Hank and Charlie (Evan Handler) meet with Eddie, an imbalanced superstar, about taking on the persona of 'Hank Moody' for the film.

Best known as a teen heartthrob and member of the infamous '80s "Brat Pack," the multi-faceted Lowe is currently starring as "Senator Robert McCallister" on the hit ABC drama "Brothers & Sisters." He was recently added to the ensemble of the hit NBC comedy series "Parks & Recreation." The SAG winner and four-time Golden Globe nominee received rave reviews for his work on the acclaimed drama series "The West Wing," a role that earned him an Emmy nomination.
