TLC Goes "Kate Plus 8" on June 6
By The Futon Critic Staff (TFC)

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- TLC has filled in a few more blanks in its summer schedule, which will feature more than 100 hours of original programming.

The latest additions - "Kate Plus 8," "Fabulous Cakes" and "Snow Men" - bring its series total to 20 for the months of June, July and August.

"Kate Plus 8," due Sunday, June 6 at 9:00/8:00c & 10:00/9:00c, is a series of specials featuring Kate Gosselin and her kids on new adventures, beginning with "an exciting surprise trip to celebrate the sextuplet's 6th birthday." (Gosselin also stars in the channel's "Twist of Kate," due later this year.)

"Fabulous Cakes," premiering Friday, June 4 at 10:00/9:00c, showcases three bakeries each week specializing in - you guessed it - fabulous cakes. Then there's "Snow Men," bowing in July (exact date TBA), in which men and women fight to re-open dangerous roads after extreme weather shuts them down.

The trio joins the network's previously announced slate of:

"Police Women of Memphis" (Thursday, May 27 at 9:00/8:00c)
"Mall Cops: Mall of America" (Thursday, May 27 at 10:00/9:00c)
"Cake Boss" (Monday, May 31 at 9:00/8:00c)
"One Big Happy Family" (Tuesday, June 1 at 9:00/8:00c)
"The Little Couple" (Tuesday, June 1 at 10:00/9:00c)
"Toddlers & Tiaras" (Wednesday, June 2 at 10:00/9:00c)
"I Didn't Know I Was Pregnant" (Wednesday, June 9 at 9:00/8:00c)
"Battle of the Wedding Designers" (Friday, June 18 at 10:00/9:00c)
"Inedible to Incredible" (Monday, June 21 at 10:00/9:00c)
"Cupcake Dreams" (Friday, July 16 at 10:00/9:00c)
"Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta" (Friday, July 30 at 9:00/8:00c)

And finally in August, look for new seasons of "19 Kids & Counting," "Lottery Changed My Life," "BBQ Pitmasters" and "LA Ink" as well as the launch of "American Chopper: Senior vs. Junior."
