FROZEN RIVER ROADS AND DOUBLE LOADS BECKON THE KINGS & QUEEN OF THE 'ICE ROAD' ON HISTORY(TM)

Fourth Season of Television Phenomenon ICE ROAD TRUCKERS Premieres Sunday, June 6, 9pm ET/PT

New York, NY - May 12, 2010 - HISTORY(TM)'s bravest drivers head back to Alaska, 250 miles north of the Arctic Circle, for season four of the highly popular series, ICE ROAD TRUCKERS. The group of elite drivers, including legendary Hugh Rowland, Alex Debogorski, the lady of the Ice Road, Lisa Kelly, and two new drivers, will face their most difficult season on the ice. Chronicling both the incredible challenges as well as the history of this fascinating region, season four of ICE ROAD TRUCKERS will premiere Sunday, June 6 at 9pm ET/PT.

The truckers will return to face the treacherous challenges, both new and familiar. This season, the hauls are the biggest they've ever had to undertake; so enormous that they must drive dual trucks in order to get these important loads to their destinations! Drivers will also tackle the infamous Ice River, where fast-flowing water beneath the ice constantly weakens the road.

Hugh and Alex are back again, along with Jack Jesse and Lisa Kelly, the first full-time female driver to appear on ICE ROAD TRUCKERS. Rather than competing against each other, Alex and Hugh decide to team up as fellow Canadians to beat the American drivers! How will things roll out? Who will win? Will Hugh and Alex remain unified or will they break ranks to beat each other?

As for Lisa, this year she is determined to do a few things to be taken seriously! To become an elite trucker, she must gain independence and haul the heavy loads. She must also learn how to repair her truck so she does not have to rely on others. No more Damsel in Distress for Lisa Kelly.

Also this season, we'll meet two new drivers who are eager to take on the challenges of the Ice Road. Ray, who was once an owner of his own Montana-based trucking company, went bust during this recession. He came up to Northern Alaska with his family to start all over again, literally from the bottom. Will he be able to hold his own on the toughest roads in America? Fellow newbie, Greg, is the youngest and cockiest of the bunch. Will his overconfidence translate to success?

With less than three months to shuttle critical supplies to the oil camps of Alaska's North Slope, the in-demand drivers are pushed to the limits.

ICE ROAD TRUCKERS is a classic story of adventure, perseverance, human ingenuity and most importantly, danger. Hundreds of talented truckers have lost their lives trying to navigate this virtual obstacle course. One miscalculation of the road, bad weather or an unseen road hazard can be the difference between life and death. Even the most seasoned drivers will find themselves challenged by the conditions, isolation and lack of creature comforts.

Only the most experienced truckers would dare to drive this route where big rigs slide off 100 foot cliffs, come head-on with other trucks around hairpin curves, and where whiteouts, avalanches and -70 degree temperatures are just a few of the fearsome challenges encountered on a daily basis. Could this be the end of the road for some of the drivers?

Debuting in June 2007, ICE ROAD TRUCKERS quickly became a critical and ratings success for History with a passionate fan base. Although technology has changed how people deal with the conditions of the Arctic Circle, the people of the region cling to their deep roots and traditions of which ice road trucking has been an integral part for many generations.
