[05/18/10 - 10:28 AM] Life Unexpected, "One Tree Hill" Make the Cut at the Cw By The Futon Critic Staff (TFC) |
|
LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- The CW is sticking with "Life Unexpected" and "One Tree Hill" as both series will return for the 2010-11 season.
Unclear however is the episode order for each.
Meanwhile on the freshman front, drama pilots "Hellcats" and "Nikita" have been ordered to series.
"Hellcats" is an ensemble drama set in the world of competitive college cheerleading. Aly Michalka, Ashley Tisdale, Ben Browder, Elena Esovolova, Gail O'Grady, Heather Hemmens, Matt Barr, Robbie Jones and Sharon Leal all star in the project, which comes from CBS Television Studios, Tom Welling Productions and Warner Bros. Television. Allan Arkush directed the pilot presentation, which was penned by Kevin Murphy.
"Nikita" is based on the film/television franchise of the same name about an assassin for a top-secret government organization (Maggie Q) who goes rogue and the new assassin who is trained to replace her (Lyndsy Fonseca). Craig Silverstein penned the hour, which was helmed by Danny Cannon for the Warner Bros. Television-based Wonderland Sound and Vision. Aaron Stanford, Melinda Clarke, Sebastien Roberts, Shane West, Tiffany Hines and Xander Berkeley also starred in the pilot.
