Cartoon Network, Discovery, TBS Among Those Making Summer Changes
By The Futon Critic Staff (TFC)

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- It's been a busy week on the cable front as various networks have made some shifts to their lineups.

Here's a breakdown of the notable changes:

-- Cartoon Network has quietly moved its live-action drama "Unnatural History" to Tuesday nights at 8:00/7:00c. The newcomer had been airing on Sundays at 8:00/7:00c, where it launched last month.

-- TBS has cut its "Neighbors from Hell" run short by two weeks. The channel will instead run back-to-back episodes in the 10:00/9:00c hour for the next two weeks, bumping up its finale to Monday, July 26 at 10:30/9:30c.

-- Discovery has dropped its freshman reality series "Heartland Thunder" after just two weeks. Another newcomer, "Chasing Classic Cars," assumed the Monday, 10:00/9:00c hour last week.

-- TLC has likewise tabled "Battle of the Wedding Designers" after three airings ("Aloha Wedding Bells," set for July 9, was ultimately replaced by "Say Yes to the Dress" repeats). "DC Cupcakes," as previously announced, will take over the Friday, 10:00/9:00c time period this week. The network has also booked freshman entry "Fabulous Cakes" for Mondays at 10:00/9:00c beginning July 19. Said hour was originally set to roll out on Friday nights back on June 4.

-- A&E has booked the return of "Criss Angel Mindfreak" for Wednesday, August 4 at 10:00/9:00c. The following night, Thursday, August 5, look for the launch of "The Squad: Prison Police," also at 10:00/9:00c. Said offerings will be preceded by new episodes of "Dog the Bounty Hunter" and "The First 48," respectively.

-- Spike TV has delayed the return of "Pros vs. Joes" by one week. Originally slated for Wednesday, July 14 at 10:00/9:00c, season five of the series will now roll out on Wednesday, July 21 at 10:00/9:00c. Leading out of the new season is the return of the hiatused comedy "Players" at 11:00/10:00c.

-- History's "The Universe" will kick off its fifth season on a new night: Thursdays at 9:00/8:00c beginning July 29.

-- VH1 has moved up the return of "Scream Queens" to Monday, August 2 at 10:00/9:00c. Also due that same night at 9:00/8:00c is newcomer "Money Hungry."

-- And finally, Animal Planet has bumped "Last American Cowboy" to Monday nights at 8:00/7:00c, effective tonight. The series had been residing in the 10:00/9:00c hour.
