ABC Pushes "America's Funniest Home Videos" Return to October 3

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- ABC has quietly bumped the 21st season launch of "America's Funniest Home Videos" back a week to Sunday, October 3 at 7:00/6:00c.

The Alphabet will instead off up a two-hour edition of "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" on Sunday, September 26, leading into the season premieres of "Desperate Housewives" and "Brothers & Sisters."

In addition, the network has filled in its first repeat block on Friday, September 24: encores of "Modern Family," "Better With You" and "The Whole Truth" beginning at 8:00/7:00c.

As previously announced, ABC will initially hold off on bowing its Friday entries "Body of Proof" and "Secret Millionaire" in order to provide said repeats as well as give the duo a separate launching pad outside the cluttered "premiere week."
