USA NETWORK'S NEW ORIGINAL SERIES "FAIRLY LEGAL" (fka "FACING KATE") TO PREMIERE ON THURSDAY, JANUARY 20

Returning Favorites ROYAL PAINS and WHITE COLLAR Round Out the Premiere Week

NEW YORK, NEW YORK - October 08, 2010 - USA Network announces today a power lineup of winter originals, anchored by a Thursday night block of the network's newest series FAIRLY LEGAL (fka FACING KATE) on Thursday, January 20 at 10/9c with the return of sophomore sensation ROYAL PAINS as its lead in at 9/8c. Critically acclaimed WHITE COLLAR returns to the roster with all-new episodes on Tuesday, January 18 at 10/9c.

FAIRLY LEGAL centers on Kate Reed (Sarah Shahi), a top litigator frustrated with the endless bureaucracy and daily injustices of the system, who takes a hard left to become the ultimate anti-lawyer: a mediator. Using her knowledge of the law, along with her savvy, intuition and a whatever-it-takes approach to resolving conflict, Kate finds the middle ground for a wide variety of adversaries -- from Fortune 500 corporations to bitter divorces. After the sudden death of her father, she finds herself at odds with the new boss, her stepmother Lauren Reed (Virginia Williams)...and in bed with her soon-to-be ex-husband, Justin Patrick (Michael Trucco), a top gun in the DA's office. Helping her keep all of this chaos at bay is her trusted, geek-chic assistant Leonardo (Baron Vaughn). FAIRLY LEGAL was created and is written and executive produced by Michael Sardo with Steve Stark serving as executive producer. The series comes from Universal Cable Productions.

In ROYAL PAINS, Mark Feuerstein stars as Hank Lawson who, after becoming blacklisted from the medical community, revives his career as a "doctor for hire" to the rich and famous in the Hamptons. In addition to treating this select group of the East End elite, Hank also caters to the towns less fortunate by donating his time at the local clinic. The series also stars Paulo Constanzo, Reshma Shetty and Jill Flint. ROYAL PAINS is written and executive produced by Andrew Lenchewski. Michael Rauch also serves as executive producer along with Rich Frank, Paul Frank and Jeff Kwatinetz from Prospect Park. Christine Sacani and John Rogers serve as co-executive producers. The series comes from Universal Cable Productions.

Top-rated series WHITE COLLAR stars Matt Bomer and Tim DeKay as an unlikely duo of con artist and FBI agent working together to put away infamous and elusive criminals. Shot entirely in and around New York City, the series also stars Willie Garson, Tiffani Thiessen, Marsha Thomason and Sharif Atkins. WHITE COLLAR was created and is executive produced by Jeff Eastin and comes from Fox Television Studios. Jeff King and Clifton Campbell are co-executive producers.
