DIY NETWORK GREEN LIGHTS SEASON TWO OF "THE VANILLA ICE PROJECT"

NEW YORK, October 26, 2010 - DIY Network, the go-to-destination for home improvement television, today announced a second season of the much talked-about The Vanilla Ice Project. The weekly series, which premiered to critical-acclaim on October 14, has put the spotlight back on the 90s pop icon, Vanilla Ice (a.k.a. Robert Van Winkle), who showcases his passion and talent for home improvement.

The first season of the 10-episode series, which airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET, follows Rob as he takes on his biggest project yet � a complete overall of a six-bedroom, five-bathroom, 7,000 square-foot lakefront home in Florida. Each half-hour episode shows Rob demonstrating his vast renovation knowledge as he calls the shots in this room-by-room home makeover series, exposing an entirely new side of the star. The New York Times commented: "Mr. Van Winkle has talent. The next time you renovate, you will dream of Ice and what he can do with bricklaying and budgets."

After his chart topping hit "Ice Ice Baby," Rob turned his focus on a new hobby, buying land and flipping houses. He's renovated old homes and foreclosures and taught himself the basics through hands-on experience and a lot of research.

The season one finale of The Vanilla Ice Project airs on DIY Network on Thursday, Dec.16 at 9 p.m. ET.
