FORGET DATE NIGHT, IT'S KATE NIGHT ON TLC
TLC Premieres Back-to-Back Specials KATE PLUS EIGHT: ALASKA, HERE WE COME and WILLIAM & KATE: A ROYAL LOVE STORY on November 7 starting at 9pm ET/PT
On Sunday, November 7, TLC premieres back-to-back specials with two very busy Kates in the public eye in KATE PLUS EIGHT: ALASKA, HERE WE COME and WILLIAM & KATE: A ROYAL LOVE STORY. Starting at 9pm, a new hour-long installment of KATE PLUS EIGHT premieres with Kate and the kids traveling eight hours to Alaska their longest trip ever. The Gosselins set out to see huge snow-covered mountains, bright white glaciers and hopefully whales. They enjoy some family fun in the great outdoors when they experience what it's like to ride on an Iditarod dog sled, but will Kate be okay letting her kids ride on such rough terrain? Then, everyone learns how to pan for gold as they head to the river in search of treasure. Will Kate and the kids be shocked by what they discover in the mud? And the excitement builds when it's time to board the boat and head out to sea with great hopes of giant whales jumping in front of them. But will they actually see whale tails or just empty waters?
Then at 10 pm, TLC premieres WILLIAM & KATE: A ROYAL LOVE STORY. Showcasing the definitive love story between a Prince who will be King and the woman who may one day be his Queen, this brand new documentary unveils Prince William and Kate Middleton's intriguing royal courtship that began in college eight years ago. Theirs is an unlikely story - Kate is an attractive young woman, but grew up well outside the realm of royalty. William is the embodiment of centuries of royal breeding and tradition. As he is being groomed for kingship with Kate at his side, this special reveals the added pressures William will face as he is expected to restore the reputation of the tarnished House of Windsor, a royal house severely damaged by his parents' broken marriage and his mother Princess Diana's untimely and tragic death.
KATE PLUS EIGHT is produced by Figure 8 Films for TLC.
WILLIAM AND KATE: A ROYAL LOVE STORY is produced by TVF International in association with Imagicians Television for TLC.
