Worlds collide with today's announcement that Country Music sensation Jason Aldean will perform with pop/rock superstar Kelly Clarkson on "The 44th Annual CMA Awards," which airs live WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 10 (8:00-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

Also announced today, Martina McBride and ABC stars JoAnna Garcia (ABC's "Better with You") and Ty Pennington (ABC's "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition") have been added to the list of celebrities presenting awards. In addition, Rodney Atkins will present awards in categories announced during the pre-telecast ceremonies.

Hosted by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood, "The 44th Annual CMA Awards" airs from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville. Previously announced performers include Dierks Bentley, Kenny Chesney, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Paisley, Rascal Flatts, Reba, Blake Shelton, George Strait, Sugarland, Taylor Swift, Underwood and Keith Urban. In addition, special performances will feature Gwyneth Paltrow in her live Country Music singing debut performing with Vince Gill; top nominee Lambert with Sheryl Crow in a tribute to Loretta Lynn's 50th anniversary as a recording artist; and Zac Brown Band with Alan Jackson. Aldean was nominated for the CMA Horizon Award in 2007, and again in 2008 when it was renamed the New Artist of the Year Award. His new album, My Kinda Party, is in-stores tomorrow.

This will be Clarkson's first performance on "Country Music's Biggest Night." She was nominated for CMA Musical Event of the Year in 2007 for her duet with Reba, "Because of You," which the two artists also performed at CMA Music Festival earlier that year. Her latest album is All I Ever Wanted.

Atkins was also nominated for the CMA Horizon Award in 2007, and again in 2008 when it was renamed the New Artist of the Year Award. His latest albums are It's America and Cracker Barrel Presents Rodney Atkins.
