DANNI LOWINSKI (The CW) - George Dzundza ("Grey's Anatomy") and Utkarsh Ambudkar ("Nevermind Nirvana") have each landed roles on the drama pilot, about "a scrappy hairdresser (Amanda Walsh) who graduates from law school but is brushed off by law firms and sets up her own practice in a shopping mall kiosk." The former will play Dani's well-meaning father, "a widower who has become a full-blown alcoholic since losing his construction job," while Ambudkar is set as "a hard-working and straightforward guy, working at JB Computers during the day and on his novel at night." Richard Shepard is directing from a script by Jennie Snyder Urman for CBS Television Studios.
TMZ (Syndication) - Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution has renewed the newsmagazine through the 2013-14 season. The series, which launched in the fall of 2007, has been cleared through said date in more than 75% of the country, including the Fox owned-and-operated stations. Telepictures Productions is the producer.
