BET Presents "Let's Stay Together," a New Original Series that Gives An Updated, Urban Perspective on Love and Marriage Premiering Tuesday, January 11 at 11:00 P.M.*
PASADENA, Calif., Jan. 6, 2011 -- Love has no limit or boundaries when it's real. LET'S STAY TOGETHER is an updated, urban - romantic comedy that takes an unconventional look into the lives of five young, ambitious African Americans. The series centers on a married couple, an engaged couple and a single sister who all take courageous steps as they navigate life, love and matrimony. Premiering on Tuesday, January 11 at 11:00 p.m.*, LET'S STAY TOGETHER is a journey through the highs and lows of love and relationships.
The fresh, break-out cast includes Bert Belasco (Community Service, House), Joyful Drake (Get Him To The Greek, Beauty Shop) Nadine Ellis (Lie to Me, Iron Man 2), Erica Hubbard (Lincoln Heights, Akeelah and the Bee), and RonReaco Lee (The Good Guys, Madea Goes to Jail).
MEET THE CAST:
Stacy Lawrence (Nadine Ellis) - Stacy, 33, is a successful pediatrician who works hard and loves even harder. Committed to Charles, her fiance, and their growing relationship, she has every intention of making it down the aisle, yet the idea of marriage has her on edge - so much so that she has yet to pick a date.
Charles Whitmore (Bert Belasco) - Charles, 28, is a man's man who takes pride in his work as a self-employed contractor who remodels historic homes. Engaged to Stacy, Charles knows how to keep the good times rolling with his comedic perspective on love.
Tasha Woodson (Joyful Drake) - Tasha, 29, younger sister of Stacy, married to Jamal, and the mother of six month-old twins, is a former party-girl turned housewife. Life isn't always easy, but it's always fun as she is forever plotting her next big get rich scheme.
Jamal Woodson (RonReaco Lee) -Jamal, 29, is a smart, savvy, do-gooder who has decided to use his law degree to better serve his community rather than jump on the partner track at a big corporate firm. As he and Tasha embrace the trials and tribulations of raising twins on his lean salary, his eye never waivers from the prize--the love he has for his family.
Kita Whitmore (Erica Hubbard) � Kita, 24, is on a "man-cation" and enjoys being single. Charles' younger sister is sassy, flirtatious, and a proud employee of the DMV. This is one woman who isn't looking to settle down just yet.
LET'S STAY TOGETHER was created by Jacque Edmonds Cofer. Jacque is also the show's Executive producer along with, Dana Owens (Queen Latifah) and Shakim Compere. LET'S STAY TOGETHER is a BET Studios Original Production.
