CBS NEWS ANNOUNCES COVERAGE PLANS ACROSS ALL PLATFORMS FOR PRESIDENT OBAMA'S 2011 STATE OF THE UNION ADDRESS

Led by News Anchor and Managing Editor Katie Couric, CBS News will provide live coverage of President Barack Obama's State of the Union address, followed by the Republican response and CBS News' analysis, on Tuesday, Jan. 25 (9:00-10:30 PM, ET / 6:00-7:30 PM, PT). The live primetime coverage will be followed by a live webcast anchored by Couric featuring extended analysis from the CBS News political team, interviews and special guests.
CBS News' State of the Union coverage will cross all media platforms, including CBS News broadcasts, CBS Radio News and CBSNews.com, featuring reports and analysis from political reporting veterans Chief Washington Correspondent Bob Schieffer, CBS News Political Analyst John Dickerson, Senior Political Correspondent Jeff Greenfield, Chief White House Correspondent Chip Reid and CBS News Congressional Correspondent Nancy Cordes. Senior Business Correspondent Anthony Mason will present the results of the CBS News Polling Unit's nationwide instant reaction poll following the president's address.
Special coverage leading up to the State of the Union address will begin on Tuesday, Jan. 25 at 7:00 AM, ET, with Co-Anchor Erica Hill anchoring THE EARLY SHOW from Washington, D.C. Hill will have an exclusive interview with President Obama's former campaign opponent, Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), about issues facing the country�from the economy to health care to national security�and what he hopes to hear from President Obama later that night.
At 8:00 PM, ET, CBSNews.com will present a special State of the Union WASHINGTON UNPLUGGED webcast prior to the address, hosted by Dickerson and featuring breaking developments and an insiders' view with analysis from CBS News correspondents, political analysts and more.
CBSNews.com will then simulcast the State of the Union address at 9:00 PM, ET, followed at 10:30 PM, ET, by a special live webcast with continued coverage anchored by Couric and the CBS News political team. All CBSNews.com coverage will be available at CBSNews.com and via the site's live streaming partners, Ustream and LiveStream.
CBS News Radio will also offer continuous coverage of the State of the Union address. CBS National Correspondent Dan Raviv will broadcast live from CBS News in Washington, D.C. He will be joined by White House Correspondent Peter Maer and Correspondent Bob Fuss on Capitol Hill, with radio reports featured across partners including AOL Radio and Radio.com. Live coverage will begin at 9:00 PM, ET, and will include three Special Reports each hour from 9:20 PM, ET, through 11:50 PM, ET, at :20, :31 and :50 past the hour.
