UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif., Jan. 27, 2011 --

OVERVIEW: Everything has been building to this... the bittersweet fifth and final season of one of the most critically acclaimed television dramas of all time, "Friday Night Lights." For four years, the residents and students of Dillon, Texas, have faced difficult choices on and off the field with courage, passion and perseverance. From Executive Producers Jason Katims ("Parenthood"), Peter Berg (Hancock), Brian Grazer (Apollo 13), David Nevins ("Arrested Development"), Sarah Aubrey ("Battleship") and David Hudgins ("Parenthood") comes "Friday Night Lights" The Fifth Season, a show that has Neal Gabler (Los Angeles Times) raving, "It may have the greatest emotional range of any series ever on television." The final season features an all-star cast including Kyle Chandler (The Kingdom, The Day the Earth Stood Still), Connie Britton ("24," "The West Wing"), Aimee Teegarden (Scream 4), Taylor Kitsch (X-Men Origins: Wolverine), Michael B. Jordan ("Parenthood"), Jurnee Smollett ("The Defenders"), Matt Lauria ("Lipstick Jungle"), Madison Burge (Trick or Treat) and Grey Damon ("True Blood").
