SANTA MONICA, Calif., March 14, 2011 -- Chart-topping, six-time Grammy Award-winning megastars The Black Eyed Peas will be rocking the house live, performing a medley of their hits at Nickelodeon's 2011 Kids' Choice Awards, premiering on Saturday, April 2, at 8:00 p.m. (ET/Tape delayed for West Coast). Joining them and show host Jack Black for the must-watch slime-filled evening will be the biggest names in movies, television and sports - Jason Segel (Bad Teacher), Russell Brand (Hop), Josh Duhamel (Transformers: Dark of the Moon), Damon Wayans (My Wife and Kids), Jaden Smith (The Karate Kid), Sofia Vergara (Modern Family), Jane Lynch (Glee), Lindsey Vonn (Olympic Gold Medalist), Nick Cannon (America's Got Talent, TeenNick Halo Awards), Miranda Cosgrove (iCarly), Victoria Justice (Victorious), Danica Patrick (American auto racing driving), Rico Rodriguez (Modern Family), Cory Monteith (Glee) and Shaun White (Olympic Gold Medalist) - who are all slated to present at the USC Galen Center in Los Angeles. Recently announced, Nickelodeon artist Big Time Rush will also perform their newest hit, "Boyfriend," live at this year's show.

"There is no better way to celebrate the year's flagship TV event for kids than with a medley by first-time KCA performers The Black Eyed Peas," said Marjorie Cohn, President, Original Programming and Development, Nickelodeon/MTVN Kids and Family Group and Executive Producer of the show. "The larger-than-life energy they will deliver on the stage will make for an unforgettable evening."

The Black Eyed Peas - will.i.am, Fergie, Taboo and apl.de.ap - have always been considered innovators ever since emerging out of the West Coast underground rap scene in the 1990s, evolving into one of the most popular contemporary pop and R&B groups in the world. To date, they have sold 29 million records worldwide (plus over 30 million digital tracks), three million tickets and headlined over 300 different tour dates in 29 different countries. Their recently released sixth full-length album, The Beginning taps into the dance-club energy perfected on their 2009 album, The E.N.D., with a sophisticated pop and electronic music palette. The E.N.D sold more than 11 million copies worldwide and entered the Billboard Top 200 Chart at number-one outperforming their previous album, Monkey Business. It yielded five Top 10 singles (the first album to do so in 20 years), spent an entire year in the Billboard Top 200 Chart and earned the group three new Grammy Awards, bringing their total, to date, to six Grammy Awards.

Kids can now cast their votes online at http://www.nick.com/kca11 in a total of 20 categories. Surprise awards also will be announced during the show. Kids also will be able to vote via the Nick mobile website http://m.nick.com/kca11 and through a brand-new iPhone application. For the first time ever, KCA voting will be extended to an iPad-optimized site, TeenNick.com, and the Nickelodeon Facebook page, facebook.com/nickelodeon.

Leading up to the show, viewers can access clips and photos from past Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards on www.Nick.com/kca11, along with current promotions for the show, dedicated information pages on the host and nominees, digital Fan Kits, a KCA news blog, behind-the-scenes video of stars prepping for the KCAs, daily polls, quizzes and two new KCA-themed online games. In addition, fans can enter on Nick.com to get the chance to walk the Orange Carpet with Big Time Rush in this year's KCA sweepstakes.
