mtvU Announces that Lil B, Friendly Fires, Pete Wentz, Yelawolf, Zoe Kravitz and Eliza Doolittle will Join Line-up of Presenters at the "2011 mtvU Woodie Awards"
Show Airs Live from Austin, TX at Midnight on March 16th with Host Donald Glover and the Foo Fighters, Wiz Khalifa, Sleigh Bells, Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All and Two Door Cinema Club Performing "Breaking Woodie" Fan Voting Open through March 16
New York, NY (March 15, 2011) - MTV's 24-hour college network, mtvU, announced today that Lil B, Friendly Fires, Yelawolf, Zoe Kravitz, Eliza Doolittle and Pete Wentz will join previously announced presenters Matt & Kim, Dev, Chiddy Bang, Skylar Grey and MTV's Liz Lee from "My Life as Liz" to hand over chunks of wood to the "2011 mtvU Woodie Award" winners. Featuring performances by the Foo Fighters, Wiz Khalifa, Sleigh Bells, Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All and Two Door Cinema Club, the show will air on Wednesday night, March 16 at 12am (Live ET/ Tape delayed PT) on MTV, MTV2 and mtvU live from Austin, Texas during the South by Southwest Music Festival. Using his triple-threat acting, writing and musical skills to uphold the "Woodies" college-party meets kick-ass concert atmosphere, comedian Donald Glover will host.
Fans can still vote for the "Breaking Woodie" category - exclusively sponsored by ck one - up until the show airs. Nominees include Local Natives, Sleigh Bells, Dev, Wavves, and Two Door Cinema Club, and will be voted on by viewers via a tally of all Tweets and Facebook posts that include a nominee's official "@" Twitter handle or the hashtag #Woodies.
As the only award show to honor and highlight the music and artists voted �best' by the US college audience, the 7th show promises an unforgettable night of music and performances.
