NEW YORK - March 22, 2011 - Buoyed by the popularity of 2010's first annual Countdown to Christmas Week - which averaged more than 1.6 million total viewers in prime - Syfy will once again celebrate the holiday season with a week-long programming festival in December. This year, the centerpiece of Countdown to Christmas Week will be the movie event Neverland -- featuring Oscar nominee Keira Knightley as the voice of Tinker Bell.

Countdown to Christmas Week will also include holiday-themed episodes of popular series such as Warehouse 13, Ghost Hunters, Haven and Eureka, and the Saturday Original Movie Snowmageddon (working title).

Neverland, a prequel to author J.M. Barrie's classic Peter Pan, sweeps in time from the turbulent seas of the pirates of the Caribbean and the back alleys of Dickensian London to a world of pure imagination. In addition to Knightley, the cast includes Rhys Ifans (Pirate Radio, Notting Hill) as James Hook, Anna Friel (Pushing Daisies) as Captain Elizabeth Bonny, Oscar nominee Bob Hoskins as Smee (who previously played the character in Steven Spielberg's feature Hook), Raoul Trujillo (Tin Man) and Charlie Rowe (Pirate Radio) as one of literature's most cherished characters, Peter Pan.

Neverland is produced by Dublin-based Parallel Films on behalf of MNG Films, in association with Syfy and Sky Movies HD. The movie is distributed by RHI Entertainment.

In the Saturday Original Movie Snowmageddon, a child's toy snow globe begins showing �fake� disasters -- which then come true with catastrophic consequences.

The 2011 holiday celebration won't be confined to Countdown to Christmas Week. For the 17th straight year, Syfy will transport viewers into the dimension of imagination called The Twilight Zone for its annual New Year's marathon.
