LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- FOX has ordered a fourth season of its Friday drama "Fringe."
Executive producer J.H. Wyman broke the news via Twitter earlier this evening, saying, "Fringe was picked up!!!! Thanks Fringedom!"
The series has averaged 4.14 million viewers and just under a 1.6 rating among adults 18-49 since moving to the night back in January - a significant improvement over previous Friday, 9:00/8:00c time period holder "The Good Guys" (2.50 million and a 0.7 rating in the key demographic).
"Fringe" opened the season on Thursday nights at 9:00/8:00c where it averaged 5.21 million viewers and a 1.9 rating among adults 18-49.
A formal announcement is expected tomorrow.
