MTV INVITES VIEWERS TO THE "WORST. PROM. EVER."

MTV's Original TV Movie Premieres Tuesday, May 10th at 10pm ET/PT

New York, NY (March 28, 2011) - Teen stars Daryl Sabara ("Spy kids") Haley Ramm ("Skateland") and Chloe Bridges ("Camp Rock 2") lead an ensemble cast in a comedy about how the night that is supposed to be the best of the high school years can turn into the "WORST. PROM. EVER." MTV's Original TV movie premieres Tuesday, May 10th at 10pm ET/PT.

"Prom movies are too often based on an outdated, fairytale version of the experience" said Chris Linn, Executive Vice President of Programming, MTV. "We wanted to tell a more contemporary story that will resonate with our audience -- and anyone who remembers their prom as a night filled with incredible highs, lows and lots of laughs."

"WORST. PROM. EVER." is MTV's hilarious take on the American ritual of senior prom. Clark (Sabara) Heather (Ramm) and Neve (Bridges) all have high expectations for their big night but it quickly turns into a total disaster as they are unexpectedly dumped by their dates in various humiliating ways. The three end up on a mission to take back their night and wind up on a wild ride through suburbia that which brings them face to face with their exes, a drunken limo driver, the local drug dealer, the cops, and a totally unhinged pizzeria mascot. By the time sun rises, the three seniors have experienced a night they will never forget. The cast also includes Nathan Keyes, Hallock Beals, John Gemberling, and Vanessa Simmons. Additionally, The Limousines will be the featured artist' in the movie with several music placements off their current release - "Get Sharp."

"WORST. PROM. EVER" is directed by Dan Eckman whose indie film MYSTERY TEAM was a cult hit in 2009. He is also the director of the comedy team DERRICK whose short films have been viewed over 150 million times online. The film is written by Jed Elinoff and Scott Thomas, the writing team responsible for MTV's hit horror franchise "My Super Psycho Sweet 16" parts 1 and 2.

"WORST.PROM.EVER." is executive produced by Maggie Malina, the executive producer on the Super Psycho Sweet 16 movies as well as MTV's upcoming thriller "The Truth Below." Anne Clements and Chris Panizzon whose last project for MTV was the original film PEDRO serve as producers. Chris Linn serves as executive producer for MTV.
