BANANA REPUBLIC CREATES THE PERFECT LOOK, INSPIRED BY ABC'S NEW COMEDY "HAPPY ENDINGS"

Banana Republic Web Content Offers Unique Introductions to Characters from Upcoming ABC Comedy

NEW YORK, NY - April 7, 2011 - Banana Republic, ABC and Sony Pictures Television collaborate on a series of video packages to support the launch of ABC's new sitcom "Happy Endings." The web content gives an introduction to the characters from the Sony Pictures Television upcoming comedy through a fun fashion viewpoint.

The video segments offer a behind-the-scenes session with "Happy Endings" costume designer Keri Smith, who gives a style preview on achieving each character's individual look, while also illustrating Banana Republic looks inspired by the characters in the show. The segments include introductions to the characters from "Happy Endings," and a sneak-preview of the series. All of the content is available on Banana Republic's website (www.bananarepublic.com) and Facebook page (www.facebook.com/bananarepublic).

"Happy Endings" is a modern comedy about a group of six friends whose relationships begin to unravel as one couple splits on their wedding day. Now faced with choosing sides, the friends are challenged to maintain their relationships and tight-knit group resulting in hilarious, sentimental and thought-provoking situations. The cast features Elisha Cuthbert, Zachary Knighton, Eliza Coupe, Adam Pally, Casey Wilson and Damon Wayans Jr., and features both recognizable star-power and new talent in the anticipated primetime comedy.

"Banana Republic is excited to have the opportunity to introduce 'Happy Endings' to our customers," says Catherine Sadler, chief marketing officer, Banana Republic. "We believe the characters and their approach to fashion and style feel relevant and familiar to our customers. We immediately recognized the synergies between our customers and the characters on the show."

"We wanted to capitalize on the strong correlation between Banana Republic's customer and the potential 'Happy Endings' viewer in a creative way," said Chris Van Amburg, senior vice president of U.S. marketing, Sony Pictures Television. "We hope the modern, refined customer we are reaching through this video content is going to relate to the witty, clever and stylish characters on the show."

"I love working with Banana Republic's collections," says Keri Smith, costume designer for the ABC series. "Banana Republic's Creative Director Simon Kneen has created so many versatile pieces that could work for the characters on the show - whether they're at work, home or their favorite hangout, Rosalita's."

"Happy Endings" premieres on ABC on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at 9:30pm and another new episode will air at 10PM in its regular timeslot. The series is from executive producers Jamie Tarses ("My Boys"), Jonathan Groff ("How I Met Your Mother"), Anthony & Joe Russo ("Arrested Development," "Community"), and co-executive producer David Caspe (the upcoming feature film "I Hate You Dad"), and is from Sony Pictures Television and ABC Studios.
