Mid-Season Finale of The Style Network's "Too Fat for 15: Fighting Back" Airs on Monday, April 25 at 8PM ET/PT

New Episode Focuses on Hot Topic Issue of Bullying, A Subject That Frequently Targets Overweight Teens and Hits Close to Home for Students at Wellspring

It's the end of Fall semester, and the students are getting ready to leave the weight loss academy for winter break - and for some, this is their final good-bye. Scotty, Emily and Rachel plan to leave Wellspring for the last time and discuss their hopes and fears for the future. While Scotty is leaving the program early, he believes that he will succeed in the outside world and disregards the warnings from the staff. Having attained her weight goal, Emily is excited about the future, and Rachel feels that the Wellspring experience has given her the confidence to face those who once bullied her about her weight.

To better prepare the students for what they might face back at home, the school organizes a bullying workshop led by an expert, Barbara Coloroso. She encourages both students and staff to share their experiences of being bullied which provokes some emotionally charged responses. The students also take turns role playing and receive practical advice on how to deal with bullies. Later, to complement the workshop, they participate in a self-defense class where a martial arts instructor gives them the skills and confidence to defend themselves, if necessary.
