BOMB SQUAD (Spike TV, New!) - Christian Darren ("Surf's Up") has booked a potential drama at the cable channel revolving around the NYPD bomb squad. Richard Esposito of ABC News is serving as a consulting producer on the project, which comes from The Collective.
DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES (ABC) - Charles Mesure ("V") has been tapped as a new regular on the veteran soap. He'll play Ben, "a sexy, charming, and occasionally ruthless contractor who has the kind of grit and drive that comes from being a self-made man," who's being billed as a potential love interest for Vanessa Williams's character.
DEXTER (Showtime) - Mariana Klaveno ("True Blood") is the latest addition to the show's upcoming season. She'll play Carissa Morris, "a professor at Florida University," when the series returns this fall.
THE DREW PETERSON STORY (Lifetime) - Teddy Sears ("The Defenders") has scored a role on the Rob Lowe-led telefilm. He'll play the best friend of Lowe's title character. The actor is also set to appear in USA's "Necessary Roughness" and "Torchwood: Miracle Day" later this summer.
GAME OF THRONES (HBO) - Gwendoline Christie ("The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus") is the newest addition to the show's second season. She'll play Brienne, "a very flattering character in the books, described as a large and piggish-looking woman with an awkward personality who's mocked as 'Brienne the Beauty.'" Her casting comes on the heels of Natalie Dormer likewise being added to the sophomore cast.
HARRY'S LAW (NBC) - Tony-winner Karen Olivo ("West Side Story") has joined the cast of the David E. Kelley drama. She'll play a new hotshot lawyer who goes to work for Kathy Bates's character. No other details were given.
NEW GIRL (FOX) - Lamorne Morris ("Brain Rush") has joined the cast of the newcomer. He'll play Winston, "a competitive former athlete who has realized he'll never go pro and moves into the loft" shared by co-stars Zooey Deschanel, Max Greenfield and Jake Johnson. His casting is designed to fill the void left by Damon Wayans Jr., whose character is being written out due to his first-position status on ABC's "Happy Endings."
SHAMELESS (Showtime) - James Wolk ("Lone Star") is set to recur on the show's sophomore season. He'll play Adam, "an investment executive who makes a connection with Fiona (Emmy Rossum)." No other details were given.
