Comedy Central(R) Greenlights "Brickleberry" Animated Series, a Co-Production of Fox 21 and Comedy Central, From Executive Producers Daniel Tosh, Waco O'Guin and Roger Black

Animated Series Picked Up For 10 Episodes And Is Slated To Premiere In 2012

Written And Created By Waco O'Guin And Roger Black, "Brickleberry" To Be Executive Produced By O'Guin, Black And Daniel Tosh Who Will Also Voice A Character In The Series

NEW YORK, Aug. 15, 2011 -- COMEDY CENTRAL has given a series order to "Brickleberry," an animated series revolving around a group of dysfunctional forest rangers at a national park, that will be executive produced by Daniel Tosh ("Tosh.0") along with comedians Waco O'Guin and Roger Black, who wrote and created the series, it was announced today by Kent Alterman, head of original programming and production, COMEDY CENTRAL. The all-comedy network has placed a 10-episode order for the show with production slated to begin this fall for a premiere in early 2012.

"Brickleberry," co-produced by Fox 21 and COMEDY CENTRAL, is based on a group of dysfunctional forest rangers at a national park that is facing closure until a new ranger comes in to whip everyone into shape and save the park. The series is created, written and executive produced by O'Guin and Black (MTV2's "Stankervision") and executive produced by Tosh, who will also voice a character. Jim Sharp is the executive in charge of production for COMEDY CENTRAL.

"Daniel Tosh pointed a gun at our heads and asked if we would put this series on the air, and we agreed that would be a good idea," said Alterman. "It's a bonus that it's so funny."

"This series has been a passion project for our company and we believe we've found the perfect home for it at COMEDY CENTRAL," said Bert Salke, president, Fox 21. "Kent and his team immediately got the genius of Daniel, Waco and Roger's twisted vision and, as they've shown with 'Tosh.0,' no one programs twisted and funny better than they do."

"This is going to be on TV?" asked Tosh. "I thought this was a comic strip?"

"This is a dream come true for us," said O'Guin on meeting Tosh. "He's gorgeous."

"Getting a show on COMEDY CENTRAL is cool too," added Black.

Comedians O'Guin and Black's comedy careers began in college when they created the underground sketch comedy show, "The DAMN! Show," later picked up by MTV and repackaged as "Stankervision" which aired on MTV2 in 2005. The inspiration for "Brickleberry" was O'Guin's father-in-law who is a former park ranger. Black attempted to poke fun at him at O'Guin's wedding and he dislocated two of his fingers.

Available in 99 million homes nationwide, COMEDY CENTRAL (www.comedycentral.com), the only all-comedy network, is owned by, and is a registered trademark of, Comedy Partners, a wholly-owned division of Viacom Inc.'s (NYSE: VIA and VIA.B) MTV Networks.
