LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- Animal Planet will roll out three new series in October - running the gamut of puppies, babies and phobias - network sources have confirmed to the site.
First out of the gate is "Viking Wilderness" (premieres Tuesday, October 4 at 9:00/8:00c), which showcases the predators and prey of the Nordic lands, followed by "Puppies vs. Babies" (Saturday, October 15 at 10:00/9:00c), a three-part series in which experts, comedians and people off the streets use viral clips to decide which is the better star. Rounding out the trio is "My Extreme Animal Phobia" (Friday, October 28 at 10:00/9:00c), which profiles individuals debilitated by an irrational fear of animals and aims to help them face their fears.
They'll be joined by the previously announced "Animal Cops: Houston" (Wednesday, September 7 at 8:00/7:00c), "Saved" (Wednesday, September 7 at 9:00/8:00c), "Bad Dog!" (Saturday, September 10 at 10:00/7:00c), "Killer Outbreaks" (Monday, September 12 at 7:00/6:00c) and "I'm Alive" (Monday, September 19 at 8:00/7:00c) as well as the return of
"I Shouldn't Be Alive" (Friday, September 30 at 9:00/8:00c) and "Fatal Attractions" (Friday, October 28 at 9:00/8:00c) plus the two-hour special "Finding Bigfoot: The Squatchiest Place on Earth" (Sunday, October 30 at 8:00/7:00c).
