NEW SYNDICATED DATING SERIES "EXCUSED" LAUNCHES MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 12TH

Viewers Will Have A Chance To Date Contestants Through Unique Partnership With Social Dating Site Jazzed.com

LOS ANGELES, CA - (September 8, 2011) - Single men and women looking for love are either in-or-out when EXCUSED, the latest reality dating show from CBS Television Distribution and the producers of the long-running hit series "Blind Date," premieres September 12, 2011.

Hosted by Iliza Shlesinger, the first female and youngest winner of "Last Comic Standing," EXCUSED, produced by Renegade 83, offers a fresh take on the dating scene, mining the comedy that traditionally comes with relationships. The syndicated strip airs weekdays. Check your local listings at www.excusedTV.com.

In a television first, viewers will have an opportunity to date contestants who appear on EXCUSED by becoming a member of JazzedTM (www.Jazzed.com), a social dating site where individuals share, meet and connect with interesting and like-minded people. In each episode, contestants reveal information about themselves to their potential dates through their Jazzed profiles. Audiences can visit Jazzed.com/excused to have an opportunity to date contestants seen on the show.

EXCUSED returns to the syndicated daily dating show, with each episode following a new group of men competing for the affections of two women (or vice versa). Based on first impressions, Jazzed profiles and intimate dates, Shlesinger guides the pair of women as they systematically eliminate the group of men down to one. The final man standing then has the opportunity to select the woman he wants to date. Ultimately, one final couple has the chance for love.

Filled with jaw-dropping pick-up lines, outrageous 'expectations' and laugh-out-loud remarks, EXCUSED is everything one wants in a dating show, with a side serving of rejection. Shlesinger adds colorful commentary, saying some honest things people only wish they could say out loud.

Shlesinger, who won the title of "Last Comic Standing" in the NBC series' sixth season, has several television credits to her resume, including her own special on Comedy Central Presents, as well as Comedy Central's "Live At Gotham," Showtime's "Pauly Shore & Friends," E! Network's "Chelsea Lately," "The Soup" and NBC's "Last Call With Carson Daly." She also has her own album, "Man Up And Act Like A Lady."
