New Year Showcase Planned for HGTV Dream Home 2012

New York, N.Y. [For Immediate Release] The HGTV Dream Home Giveaway 2012 will offer fans the chance to win a spectacular custom-built home in Midway, Utah, a 2012 GMC(R) Terrain(R) and $500,000 cash. HGTV will unveil the fully-furnished modern western ranch house, designed to appeal to outdoor enthusiasts, during the HGTV Dream Home 2012 special on January 2, at 1 p.m. ET/PT.

Viewers can enter for a chance to win the HGTV Dream Home 2012 from Thursday, December 29, 2011 at 9 a.m. ET through Friday, February 17, 2012 at 5 p.m. ET. During that time, they may enter once per day on http://HGTV.com/dreamhome, once per day on HGTV's Frontdoor.com, or as often as they wish by regular mail. The giveaway prize package, valued at more than $2 million, will be awarded to one lucky viewer in March. Until then, online users can see a photo gallery and a 360- degree virtual tour at HGTV.com/dreamhome.

Nestled on the banks of the Provo River, the newest HGTV Dream Home offers easy access to incredible Deer Valley and Park City, home of the Sundance Film Festival. Located in one of the hottest areas for outdoor aficionados, the 16th HGTV Dream Home is nearly 4,000 square feet with amazing mountain views. It features five covered decks with connecting boardwalks, an outdoor living room and hot tub, and a changing room with fishing accessories. The house includes three bedrooms, four and a half bathrooms, a dedicated entertainment room and a gourmet chef's kitchen. During the winter, homeowners and visitors can ski and snowboard in unparalleled Utah powder. Activities such as water sports, golf, hunting, mountain biking, hiking and fly fishing also are available throughout the year.

During the January television special, HGTV co-hosts Monica Pedersen and John Gidding (Curb Appeal) will join HGTV Dream Home Interior Designer Linda Woodrum and House Planner Jack Thomasson to take viewers on a visual tour of the home.
