"Jesse Stone: Benefit of the Doubt" Is the Eighth in the Series of Jesse Stone Television Movies
JESSE STONE: BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT, the eighth in the series of television movies starring Emmy Award and Golden Globe Award winner Tom Selleck as Police Chief Jesse Stone, will be broadcast Sunday, May 20 (9:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
In JESSE STONE: BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT, Jesse finds himself struggling to get his job back as the Paradise police chief, and he is forced to rely on his cop intuition to sort through a maze of misleading clues and hidden meanings as he attempts to solve a shocking and horrifying mob-related double homicide.
Other actors reprising their roles are Emmy and Golden Globe Award winner Kathy Baker as Rose Gammon, Kohl Sudduth as Luther "Suitcase" Simpson, Stephen McHattie as State Homicide Commander Healy, William Devane as Dr. Dix, William Sadler as Gino Fish, Gloria Reuben as Thelma Gleffey and Saul Rubinek as Hasty Hathaway. The movie also features Robert Carradine and Jeff Geddis.
The series of movies includes "Jesse Stone: Innocents Lost," "Stone Cold," "Jesse Stone: Night Passage," "Jesse Stone: Death in Paradise," "Jesse Stone: Sea Change," for which Selleck was nominated for an Emmy Award, "Jesse Stone: Thin Ice" and "Jesse Stone: No Remorse." The movies are based on characters created by the late Robert B. Parker in the best-selling series of books.
Currently, Selleck stars as New York City Police Commissioner Frank Reagan in the crime drama "Blue Bloods," on CBS.
JESSE STONE: BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT is produced by Brandman Productions, Inc. and TWS Productions II in association with Sony Pictures Television. Michael Brandman and Tom Selleck are the executive producers. The screenplay, based on characters created by Robert B. Parker, was written by Tom Selleck and Michael Brandman.
