"TOP TEACHER WEEK" RETURNS TO "LIVE! WITH KELLY"

Educators from Across the Country to Be Honored on "Live" The Week of May 14-18, 2012

NEW YORK, NY - March 08, 2012 - Today on "LIVE! with Kelly," host Kelly Ripa announced the return of "Top Teacher Week" -- a week-long tribute to the nation's best educators - during the week of May 14-18, 2012. As kids across the country start looking forward to their summer breaks, "LIVE" will take a week to salute the mentors that guide their students to success every day.

"LIVE" is looking for teachers who make a difference in and out of the classroom, who make their students' lives better, the school better, or even those who go over and above to serve their community as a whole.

Nominations can come from individuals or groups, and must include the teacher's name, the name of the school where he or she works, and, most important, what makes that teacher so unique and special. All teachers are eligible, from public or private schools, from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade. The deadline for submission is April 10, 2012. From the submission pool, 10 nominees will be selected as semi-finalists and announced during the week of April 16. Viewers will vote for their favorite nominees, and the five teachers with the most votes will be showcased during the week of May 14-18. The educator chosen as the 2012 Top Teacher will be announced on May 21.
