Netflix Unveils the Trailer for 'Marcos: Otro mundo es posible,' Diego Enrique Osorno's Documentary on the Zapatista Movement, Premiering December 2

The story of the movement that dared to imagine another world.

The official trailer for Marcos: Otro mundo es posible is now available. Directed by Diego Enrique Osorno, through a journey that includes firsthand testimonies and previously unseen footage, this production invites us to delve into the history of the EZLN and the emergence of Subcomandante Marcos, one of the most emblematic figures of the Zapatista and alter-globalization movement.

Beyond the public persona, this production by Detective opens the door to reflecting on the mark this movement, still resisting in Chiapas, has left on the country's memory. Marcos: Otro mundo es posible is a human story about hope and about what people can achieve when they believe in something and act collectively.

Renowned journalist and documentary filmmaker Diego Enrique Osorno takes one of Mexico's great unfinished myths, Subcomandante Insurgente Marcos, to offer a human perspective and present both the myth and the real person behind it. The result of research drawing on more than 5,000 hours of archival material and dozens of interviews, this account immerses us in the Zapatista movement, told in the words of direct witnesses and of Marcos himself.

"Behind the balaclava there is not a person: there is a character, and above all an Indigenous movement that stunned the world and turned it upside down." - Diego Enrique Osorno, Director

"What the Zapatistas really want is to build a new world. A world where many worlds fit... " - Subcomandante Marcos
