A MOTHER'S NIGHTMARE (Lifetime, New!) - Grant Gustin, Annabeth Gish and Jessica Lowndes have been cast in an original movie at the cable channel about a teenager (Lowndes) who seduces a depressed boy (Gustin) only to accuse him of assault when he tries to pull back from their relationship. Gish then is set as the girl's mother. Production on the project begins next week in West Kelowna, British Columbia with Larry Gershman and Meyer Shwarzstein serving as executive producers. Shelley Gillen penned the script. (THR.com)
UNTITLED CATHERINE KEENER PROJECT (HBO, New!) - Oscar-nominee Catherine Keener ("Being John Malkovich") is set to star in a potential comedy at the pay channel described as "an exploration of one day in a woman's life and how the events leading up to it can affect, or not, the reality in which she lives." "Malkovich" screenwriter Charlie Kaufman is behind the half-hour, which he'll write, direct and executive produce with Keener serving as a producer. No other details were given. (Deadline.com)
