TLC RETURNS TO THE STREETS WITH ALL-NEW EPISODES OF "D.U.I."

D.U.I. returns June 28 at 10/9c

(Los Angeles) - D.U.I. returns to TLC with all-new episodes premiering June 28 at 10PM ET/PT. Continuing the journey behind the wheel, TLC will give viewers a first-hand look at what driving under the influence means to these people and their lives. The series follows actual suspects through the long and arduous process that follows a DUI including: criminal booking, jail, court appearances and sentencing. Returning to its Thursday time slot, TLC will premiere two half-hour episodes, back-to-back each night over three weeks.

In the premiere episodes we meet Paul, who is pulled over for speeding in a residential area while working his food delivery job. The officer approaches the vehicle with caution as he examines the SUV, covered in bumper stickers referencing drug use. When asked if he uses drugs, Paul immediately admits he had smoked marijuana earlier that day. Upon further discovery, the officer suspects that Paul has been delivering pizzas while under the influence of marijuana.

We also meet 22-year-old Chantel who finds herself pulled over after an improper lane change. This traffic violation leads to the discovery of assorted drug paraphernalia including meth, a scale and a large amount of cash. Additionally, the trooper finds out the vehicle is reported stolen. Chantel herself reveals a troubled past which includes a long history of drug use starting at the age of 11. Now with a one-year-old son at home, she's headed into the court system in pursuit of sobriety.

D.U.I. is produced for TLC by Mike Mathis Productions, Inc.
