THANKSGIVING

Jess invites Paul (guest star Justin Long), a music teacher at her school on whom she always has had a crush, to the gang's big Thanksgiving dinner at the loft.

THE STORY OF THE 50

Jess is determined to plan the ultimate birthday party for Schmidt - despite holding it on a school bus.

VALENTINE'S DAY

Schmidt agrees to be Jess' wingman when she sets out to have a one-night stand on Valentine's Day. Ryan Kwanten ("True Blood") guest-stars.

CONTROL

After Jess realizes that Schmidt is unfairly doing all of the housework, she pushes him to "go on strike," and the entire ecosystem of the loft is thrown off balance.

SECRETS

Jess and Cece's friendship is put to the test when Jess discovers Cece has been sleeping with Schmidt. Meanwhile, Nick tries to juggle dating two women at once.

A nervous Jess invites Russell (guest star Dermot Mulroney) to spend the weekend at the loft, but is even more disappointed when he bonds too well with the guys. Features the "True American" Drinking Game!!

Jess tries out motherhood when she babysits Russell's pre-teen daughter for the weekend. Jeanne Tripplehorn ("Big Love") guest-stars as Russell's ex-wife.

TOMATOES

Jess worries that she and Russell (guest star Dermot Mulroney) don't share the same fiery passion that he does with his ex-wife (guest star Jeanne Tripplehorn), while Nick pours his heart into a tomato garden.
