MOCKINGBIRDE LANE (NBC) - Portia de Rossi has snagged the role of Lily Munster on the Peacock's revival of "The Munsters." She'll take over for Mariana Klaveno, who was originally cast however the actress could not be released from her deal on ABC Studios' potentially Lifetime-bound pilot "Devious Maids." Writer Bryan Fuller and director Bryan Singer are behind the Universal Television-based hour, which also stars Charity Wakefield, Jerry O'Connell, Mason Cook and Eddie Izzard. (Deadline.com)
AND IN OTHER NEWS... - Bellamy Young's First Lady Mellie Grant has been upped to series regular on "Scandal" (Deadline.com); Margarita Levieva's Amanda Clarke is set to return for at least seven episodes on "Revenge" next season (Deadline.com); "How I Met Your Mother" executive producer Chuck Tatham has inked a two-year overall deal with producer 20th Century Fox Television (Deadline.com); "Parks & Recreation" writer/occasional guest star Harris Wittels has likewise signed a two-year overall deal with Universal Television where he'll be upped to supervising producer (Deadline.com); and S. Epatha Merkerson, Dylan Walsh and Ethan Embry are the latest faces set to drop by Lifetime's "Drop Dead Diva" (EW.com).
