Kevin Whately returns for a fifth season of the hit show Inspector Lewis. He and his young partner DS Hathaway (Laurence Fox) continue to solve cases in the seemingly perfect academic haven of Oxford.

"The Soul of Genius" - Sunday, July 8 at 9pm

When the body of an obsessive Oxford English professor is discovered ritually buried, Lewis and Hathaway are set upon a seemingly impossible quest to uncover the truth.

"Generation of Vipers" - Sunday, July 15 at 9pm

Suspicions abound as Lewis and Hathaway investigate the death of a lovelorn Oxford professor. Was her death caused by an embarrassing internet leak or something much more sinister?

"Fearful Symmetry" - Sunday, July 22 at 9pm

Lewis and Hathaway are drawn into a darker side of Oxford while investigating the murder of a suburban babysitter.

"The Indelible Stain" - Sunday, July 29 at 9pm

A controversial American academic is found strangled after a guest lecture at Oxford.

Inspector Lewis is a coproduction of ITV Studios and MASTERPIECE. MASTERPIECE is presented on PBS by WGBH Boston. Rebecca Eaton is Executive Producer. Funding for the series is provided by Viking River Cruises, with additional support from public television viewers and contributors to The MASTERPIECE Trust, created to help ensure the series' future.
