G4 Honors The Sailors Who Fought For Our Freedom With a Special "Bomb Patrol: Afghanistan" Marathon This Independence Day

Seventeen-Episode Marathon Airing July 4th Follows Navy EOD Platoon 3-4-2's Entire Five Month Deployment Including Extended Footage from Nerve-Racking Missions Abroad and a Tell-All Reunion Special Hosted By Josh Duhamel

G4 is giving viewers a chance to commemorate this Fourth of July by revisiting the critically acclaimed "Bomb Patrol: Afghanistan." The ground-breaking series follows an elite, eight man U.S. Navy EOD platoon as they patrol the war-torn battlegrounds of Afghanistan using state-of-the art robotics and technology to search for and disarm explosives. The marathon will include the series original 10-episode run along with the additional seven episodes that included never-before-seen missions and behind-the-scenes footage and a reunion special hosted by actor Josh Duhamel. The "Bomb Patrol: Afghanistan" marathon starts Wednesday, July 4th at 9am ET/PT on G4.

More than 15 cameras, including both helmet and body mounted, were utilized to capture the eight-man team's five-month tour. Viewers will be embedded with the troops witnessing every aspect of their deployment, from the life-or-death missions to the humorous, light-hearted moments shared between brothers-in-arms. "Bomb Patrol: Afghanistan" is produced by Big Fish Entertainment with Doug DePriest and Dan Cesareo serving as executive producers. Laura Civiello and Tim Rummel are the series' network executives for G4.
