Viacom Media Networks' High-Definition Music Channel Palladia Announces Two New Series Acquisitions

BBC's "LATER...WITH JOOLS HOLLAND" AND "LIVE FROM DARYL'S HOUSE"

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 15, 2012 -- Palladia, Viacom Media Networks' high-definition music channel, is adding two highly-acclaimed series to its regular line-up. The legendary BBC series "Later... with Jools Holland" premieres on Palladia on Thursday, September 6 at 10pm ET/PT and born-on-the-internet hit "Live From Daryl's House" immediately follows, premiering at 11pm ET/PT.

"Palladia is the only network that could offer two very different, but equally brilliant, artist-centered performance series like "Later... with Jools Holland" and "Live from Daryl's House", said Ben Zurier, Executive Vice President, Program Strategy, VH1, VH1 Classic and Palladia. "Jools" is justly renowned for its lively and unpredictable shows, as a collection of hugely talented artists can share one awesome stage. Every show is an event. And at the opposite end of the spectrum, "Daryl's House" offers a uniquely intimate and personal setting - but with just as much great music in every episode. What the shows have in common are their passionate, enthusiastic, and engaging hosts... and really fantastic performances."

"Later... with Jools Holland" is one of the most wide-ranging and successful music performance series of all time, now entering its twentieth season. Its unique format features six artists sharing one big stage in front of a raucous studio audience, while host Jools Holland steers the action from performance to performance, interviewing the stars and sharing stories about the songs along the way. The magic of the series comes from the surprising combinations of featured artists, which will showcase a diverse talent line-up including Adele, The Black Keys, Kings of Leon, Neil Diamond, The Killers, Florence + The Machine, Mary J. Blige, Sting, Robert Plant, Jack White, Norah Jones, Jay-Z, Paul McCartney, Sting, Metallica and countless others. Besides showcasing the best episodes from the show's unmatched catalogue, Palladia will present the US television premiere of new episodes of the series in conjunction with their BBC premieres.

"I've always been proud that 'Later... with Jools Holland' has dedicated itself to presenting great music in the highest possible quality, and most recently in High Definition. Now, I'm very pleased that the program's unique and eclectic mix of wonderful music and guests will be showcased in HD on Palladia, which has pledged to maintain the show's exceptionally high standards," said host Jools Holland.

The first eight-week line-up of "Later ... With Jools Holland" is as follows:
9/6/2012 - Paul McCartney, The Black Keys, Elvis Costello, Aloe Blacc, Neil Diamond
9/13/2012 - Adele, Young the Giant, R. Kelly, Metronomy, James Blake
9/20/2012 - Jack White, Norah Jones, Alabama Shakes, The Chieftains, Grimes, Carolina Chocolate Drops
9/27/2012 - Coldplay, Cage the Elephant, Mick Fleetwood, John Mellencamp, Glen Campbell
10/4/2012 - Florence + The Machine, Pete Townshend, My Morning Jacket, Mary J. Blige, Brett Anderson
10/11/2012 - Cee Lo Green, The Steve Miller Band, Janelle Monae, Duane Eddy, The Jim Jones Revue
10/18/2012 - Foo Fighters, Jay Z, Sting, Norah Jones, Stornoway
10/25/2012 - Kings of Leon, Metallica, VV Brown, Carla Bruni, Nicole Atkins

BBC's "Later... With Jools Holland" is Executive Produced by Mark Cooper and produced by Alison Howe.

"Live From Daryl's House" will bring Palladia viewers a completely different kind of music experience. In each episode, rock and R&B legend Daryl Hall invites his favorite singer-songwriters to join him at his home studio - built into a farmhouse in Millerton, New York. The artists and their bands will jam on each others' hits in Daryl's living room and home studio where they will talk music and share stories while preparing a meal together. Hall created the series and self-distributes it over his "liveatdarylshouse.com" website, where it became an internet sensation (winner of an MTV O Music Award for "Best Performance Series"). Guests have included an incredible roster of talent like Train, Sharon Jones, Smokey Robinson, Grace Potter, Cee-Lo Green, Jason Mraz, Rob Thomas, Butch Walker, Keb Mo, Chiddy Bang, and Fitz & The Tantrums. Palladia will showcase these great episodes as well as provide the television premiere of new shows.

"'Live From Daryl's House' started 5 years ago on the web and has always remained an internet show at heart. However, with the expansion on to television, I feel that a pure music performance channel like Palladia is the perfect choice for the LFDH brand," said Daryl Hall.

The first eight-week line-up of "Live From Daryl's House" is as follows:
9/6/2012 - Jason Mraz
9/13/2012 - Cee Lo Green
9/20/2012 - Butch Walker
9/27/2012 - Rumer
10/4/2012 - Chiddy Bang
10/11/2012 - Live At Borgata, a Live From Daryl's House special featuring guests Sharon Jones & Allen Stone
10/18/2012 - Nick Waterhouse
10/25/2012 - Train

"Live from Daryl's House" is currently syndicated nationally by Good Cop Bad Cop Productions. Executive producers for the show include Hall along with his manager Jonathan Wolfson.
