Current TV's "Joy Behar: Say Anything" Reveals Premiere Week Guest Lineup

CURRENT TV'S "JOY BEHAR: SAY ANYTHING" REVEALS PREMIERE WEEK GUEST LINEUP

Current's Primetime Lineup to Shift to Accommodate New Show

[New York] August 30, 2012 - An eclectic mix of politicians, television and movie stars, musicians, comedians and newsmakers makeup the guest list for the premiere week of Current TV's "Joy Behar: Say Anything!" which launches on Tuesday, September 4th at 6pm ET and will be executive produced by two time Emmy(R) winner Robin Hommel.

Vice President Al Gore, Current's co-founder and Chairman of the Board, will appear on the premiere episode to welcome comedian and veteran television personality Joy Behar to the network and talk politics and share his thoughts on the Democratic and Republican conventions. Other guests confirmed for next week include musician Melissa Etheridge, actor Carrie Fisher, musician Dee Snider (Twisted Sister) who recently demanded that Congressman Paul Ryan discontinue using his music on the campaign trail, actor and comedian Susie Essman ("Curb Your Enthusiasm") and liberal political commentator Alan Colmes. Additionally, Behar's fellow Current TV anchors will appear on her show next week including host of "The War Room" former Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm, a featured speaker at next week's Democratic National Convention, and sitting California Lieutenant Governor Gavin Newsom, host of "The Gavin Newsom Show."

Several other notable guests are confirmed for upcoming weeks including former WNBC anchor Sue Simmons, musician Cyndi Lauper, former Minnesota Governor Jesse Ventura, Meredith Vieira, actor and television personality Tony Danza, journalist and author Hanna Rosin (The End of Men) and reality star and author Big Ang (VH1's "Mob Wives").

"Joy Behar: Say Anything" will air on Current Monday through Thursday at 6pm ET, with nightly rebroadcasts at 9pm ET. To accommodate this addition to Current's primetime lineup "The War Room with Jennifer Granholm" will move to 10pm ET while "The Young Turks" and "Viewpoint with Eliot Spitzer" will continue to air nightly at 7pm ET and 8 pm ET, respectively.
