(Deadline.com)
RAN QUARTET (CBS, New!) - The Eye is once again looking to import the Israeli drama, about "four siblings who had their entire lives documented by a filmmaker until age 32, when the documentary stops and everyone comes to find the four's real lives are quite different from the way they had been portrayed on TV." Writers Mike and Chris Kelley and director Mimi Leder were behind the previous attempt in 2010, entitled "The Quinn-Tuplets," with Amber Tamblyn, Anna Chlumsky, David Giantoli, Dougray Scott, Molly Parker and Sam Witwer among the ensemble cast. David Marshall Grant ("Smash") then is spearheading the new take, billed as a medical show with more of a procedural element.
