Shirley Jones to Guest-Star on the TBS Original Comedy Series "Cougar Town"

Academy Award(R)-winning actress and musical star Shirley Jones is set to guest-star on TBS's original comedy series Cougar Town. Set to launch its fourth season on Tuesday, Jan. 8, at 10 p.m. (ET/PT), Cougar Town stars Courteney Cox as Jules Cobb, a recently remarried mom who is never far from her wine and her group of friends, known as the "cul de sac crew."

In Cougar Town, Jones is set to play Anne, an elderly woman who buys Grayson's old house under the condition that Jules spends time with her. Anne ends up sharing a lot of advice with Jules, whether she wants to hear it or not.

Jones is best known for her performances in such musical films as Oklahoma!, Carousel and The Music Man, as well as her starring role in The Partridge Family. She earned an Oscar(R) for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in the 1960 drama Elmer Gantry.

In addition to Courtney Cox, Cougar Town stars Christa Miller, Ian Gomez, Josh Hopkins, Busy Philipps and Dan Byrd. The comedy series, which is currently in production on its fourth season, comes to TBS from ABC Studios.
